raversofbrc - [everyone] End of Third night, Too much drama, Fourth Night

With the unexpected discovery of two NARCs in as many days, the ravers are understandably jubilant, despite the loss of the glowstick ninja. And what better way to celebrate than a ride on an art car!

The ravers gear up for a night out, and hail a likely candidate; a glowing Totoro Cat Bus.



Everyone piles in, as the Cat Bus leaves Black Rock City and heads for the favorite forbidden destination, Trego Hot Springs. Once there, the ravers strip down and jump in the natural hot springs, and settle down for some relaxing conversation.

[info]pergatorigirl speaks up first, "You know, I've been thinking a lot about life and stuff, and last night was like, you know, totally cosmic, and I came to some decisions about who I am and who I want to be and you know, where my life is really going and all..." She babbles on for a while, and no one seems to pay much attention. She is clearly high, and having one of those life altering epiphanies that only the drug addled and truly mad can seem to relate to. Later on several of you notice that she is no where to be seen.

Meanwhile, [info]fu_urns, stupid raver that he is, is happily bouncing on a trampoline that just happens to be nearby. In the middle of a stunning quadruple back flip, he looses sense of which direction is up, and lands with a resounding thud on the edge of the trampoline. He'll be all right, but he clearly needs medical attention.

As the Cat Bus heads back for Black Rock City, the ravers realize they've yet to pick someone out as a NARC. The discussion is low key, but they eventually choose [info]hungryandhollow, and unceremoniously push him off the Cat Bus as it zooms off back to Black Rock City.

When you arrive back at the edge of Black Rock City, as the early morning light starts to fill the sky, you encounter trouble in the form of three uniformed Pershing County Sheriffs. The driver of the Cat Bus is having a rough time talking his way back into the city, as the sheriffs begin hassling the ravers.

"What's this?" one of the sheriffs says, as he confiscates a small pipe from [info]ilovetequila, and begins to place handcuffs on her.

"That little slut [info]girlpurple planted that on me! She's got acid in her jacket packet! She's been looking for a way to get me out of the picture so she could be with [info]kraydon!", screams [info]ilovetequila.

Sure enough, the sheriffs search [info]girlpurple and find 10 whole sheets of high powered blotter acid. "You're going up the river for quite a while, missy"

vrelis makes an attempt to hand a small vial to [info]girlpurple, but the sheriffs are too on the ball tonight. "What's this?" they ask, "Detox potion? I'm afraid you'll have to come with us as well."

"No!" screams [info]kraydon, "Don't leave me!" [info]kraydon whips out a pair of extra heavy duty bondage handcuffs, and cuffs herself to [info]ilovetequila, and all four ravers get stuffed into the back of the patrol car by the bewildered sheriffs.

Once back at camp, the remaining campers go through the tents of the missing campmates to uncover clues, just to make doubly sure none of the missing campers are NARCs. The only notable things are a "Lambda Sigma Delta Little Sisters" pin in [info]kraydon's tent, and a High School Yearbook in [info]pergatorigirl's tent.

SUMMARY:

[info]fu_urns the RAVER has been taken off to a hospital in Reno. (inactive)
[info]hungryandhollow the RAVER is lost in the desert. (lynch)

[info]girlpurple the RAVER has also been arrested, caught up in [info]ilovetequila's drama bomb
[info]kraydon the PREPPY CHICK (aka FRAT BOY) and [info]ilovetequila's lover has been arrested
vrelis the CHEMIST has been arrested. (inactive)

Discussion for next lynch starts here, and ends at NOON tomorrow (to make up for my late update today).
There will be a break over the weekend.

Okay I need some help counting....

These numbers don't add up, unless we started with 5 (not four as I thought) real, normal ravers plus the specials and the SNITCH who thinks they are a normal raver. In which cawse we have two real normal ravers and the duped SNITCH (who we want the NARC to avoid).

At this point it may be worth arguing about who is which special chracter? otherwise how do we catch the NARC without them activating the SNITCH?

Blind guessing, I've got a 1/5 chance of getting the NARC.
You remaining RAVERS have a 1/4 chance - it ain't you and it ain't me.
Whoever we lynch, if we're wrong, then the NARC has a 1/3 chance of activating the SNITCH.

If the lone remaining CHUM comes forward and it 1) is the NARC, the real CHUM should come forward. 50% chance of getting the NARC tonight, 100% tomorrow. But he's got a 50% chance of activating the SNITCH tomorrow. 2) is the real CHUM and goes uncontested, then y'all have a 1/3 guess at the last NARC and surviving he still has that same 1/3 guess at the SNITCH and we're no closer to identifying either of them. 3) is the real CHUM and the NARC contests it - well, we're back to case one above.

So again - all you RAVERS have a 1/4 change of blindly guessing right to my 1/5 - against the NARCS 1/3. If we out the CHUM we stand to better those odds to 50/50 both tonight and a hard roll tomorrow.

How's it gonna play out? Hrmn.

Well, I've partied with peratorigirl for years and never veen her get quite that high. I'd hate to have to tell her folks I'd lost her. Man, we used to hang out at her house all the time after school.

Plus, as I stated, there are no clear guidelines in [info]raversofbrc or [info]millershollow that state what kind of info about the killer is given when someone dies. I attempted to make this clear with my chart, but I don't think its 100% yet.

To speak out against you, you are usually much more involved in the discussion. Your deductions in [info]lupusintabula were astounding. I don't see you chiming in here with the fantastic deductions you had last game. Is it because you already know who the Narc is?

The potential difference in what kind of info about the killer is given is irrelevant. The options you gave were:

The Narcs didn't directly arrest anyone last day.
They found the Snitch OR they couldn't decide who to bust.

I simply found it suspicious that it didn't occur to you that they chose to arrest [info]parzanese, since as a moderator, you knew they had that option.

As for me, no, actually, I'm not usually more involved in the discussion. At least not until I'm forced to defend myself or there's enough info out there to work with. I think I'm pretty good at evaluating information once there is enough of it at the end-game, and last game there was fortunately quite a bit of info available when I was forced to come out. But I know I'm no good at the psychological guesswork of the early and mid-game, so I try to lay low until there is enough info out there.

I have, since the first night, been claiming to be a plain RAVER. Why would a Narc destroy his possibilities (for confusion in claiming what to be) before even the Glowstick Ninja was revealed!? If I am the Snitch, then there has been no chance for me to be activated thus far, due to the fact that there has been an arrest every night.
